Build a one-person live studio that punches above its weight

Laptops, capture cards, software subscriptions and a tangle of HDMI cables used to be the price of admission. In 2026, a single hardware console can do the job of all of it.

SPROLINK NeoLIVE N7S all-in-one live production switcher with 15.6 inch screen and T-bar

// N7S — 12 INPUTS · 15.6" MONITOR · 5.85 KG CHASSIS

01The "one-man band" studio is having a moment

A church AV volunteer. A corporate event producer. A vertical-streaming creator doing live sales. A university classroom that suddenly has to broadcast to three remote campuses.

None of them can afford a three-person crew — a director, a technical director, an audio engineer. Yet every one of them is being asked to deliver broadcast-grade output: multiple cameras, lower-thirds, a clean program recording, and a simultaneous stream to YouTube, Facebook and a custom CDN.

The gap between "what the job requires" and "what one person can physically run" is where a new category of hardware has emerged: the all-in-one production switcher.

02The old stack, and why it breaks

If you've ever streamed on a laptop, you know the shape of it. A capture card. OBS or vMix. A second monitor for previews. A USB audio interface. A mouse that you fumble with live. A fan that kicks in halfway through the keynote.

It works — until it doesn't. The laptop crashes mid-stream. The capture card drops a frame. The mouse click that was supposed to be a clean cut lands on the wrong source. And when the event is over, you have to reassemble everything next week.

Hardware that a human can feel beats software that a human has to hunt through menus for.

The promise of an all-in-one console is simple: the switcher, the monitor, the encoder, the audio mixer and the T-bar all live on one chassis. One cable for power. One network cable for streaming. No laptop, no drivers, no blue screens.

03What an all-in-one switcher actually is

Strip away the marketing and a production switcher does four jobs at once. It takes in cameras, it lets you cut between them, it mixes audio, and it sends the result somewhere — to a recorder, to a stream, or to a projector.

An "all-in-one" means you don't add a separate encoder, a separate audio mixer, a separate multiview monitor, or a separate PTZ controller. They're already inside the box. That matters because every external device is another point of failure on the day of the show.

04Five design decisions that matter on the N7S

1. Twelve inputs, not four. Most prosumer switchers give you four HDMI ports and call it a day. The N7S gives you six 3G-SDI plus six HDMI — with four of the HDMI ports accepting 4K signals. In a real venue, the PTZ deck, the keynote laptop, the guest's phone, the playback rig and the wide shot all plug in without an external router.

2. A screen that's already there. The 15.6" multiview isn't an accessory — it's bolted to the lid. You see every source, PGM and PVW in one glance, which is the difference between a director who's in control and one who's guessing.

3. A real T-bar, not a touchscreen. Push-fade transitions feel different from tapping a button. The N7S ships with a physical T-bar and zero-latency crystal buttons, the same workflow used on broadcast consoles. There are 36 built-in transition effects.

4. Dual streaming, built in. You can push to two RTMP destinations at once — YouTube and a custom CDN — up to 1080p60 at 30 Mbps, while simultaneously recording a clean program feed to an SD card or USB drive. No laptop, no restreaming service.

5. One-tap portrait mode. Rotate the entire program 90° for TikTok, Shorts or Reels live. The N7S is one of the few hardware switchers that does this in firmware, not in post.

There are quieter features worth naming too: a built-in AI subtitle engine for real-time English and Mandarin captions, a Super Source multi-view composer for remote panels, chroma/luma/DSK keying for green-screen work, six macro buttons that replay a sequence of live moves, and a web server that lets an assistant director drive the show from a phone on the same LAN.

05Who should buy it — and who shouldn't

It fits if you:

  • Run multi-camera streams for a church, corporate event or education venue with a crew of one.
  • Need SDI cabling for cameras that live more than 10 metres away.
  • Stream to more than one platform at a time and want a local recording as backup.
  • Do vertical live sales on TikTok/Shopee Live and hate re-editing after the fact.
  • Want to control PTZ cameras from the same surface you cut on.

It's overkill if you:

  • Only ever stream a single webcam from a bedroom. A $200 capture card does that.
  • Need 4K program recording or 4K streaming. The N7S accepts 4K inputs but outputs and records at 1080p — that's deliberate, not a flaw.
  • Already run a full vMix rig on a beefy PC and have zero interest in hardware.

06Three build-outs you can copy this week

The church livestream. Three SDI cameras (wide, pulpit, crowd) into SDI IN 1–3. The lyrics laptop into HDMI IN 1. A wireless presenter mic into XLR 1. Stream to YouTube via RTMP, record a clean master to SD for the archive. One volunteer runs it from the sound booth.

The corporate product launch. Two PTZ cameras on the LAN (controlled directly from the N7S surface), the keynote slide deck on HDMI, a remote guest pulled in over SRT. Dual-stream to the internal CDN and to public YouTube simultaneously.

The vertical live seller. One HDMI camera on the product, one phone camera as the 7th input over USB, a lapel mic into the 3.5 mm input. One-tap portrait mode pushes straight to TikTok Shop. AI captions burned in so silent viewers still follow the pitch.

07Frequently asked questions

Can the N7S stream to YouTube and Facebook at the same time?

Yes. The hardware encoder supports two simultaneous RTMP push URLs, each up to 1080p60 at 30 Mbps, so you can go live on YouTube and a second platform (or a private CDN) from a single device — no restreaming service required.

Does the N7S record in 4K?

No. The N7S accepts 4K signals on HDMI IN 1–4, but program output, streaming and recording are all 1080p. This is intentional: 1080p is what virtually every live platform and LED wall actually consumes, and keeping the pipeline at 1080p is what keeps latency under three frames.

Is NDI included?

NDI pull-stream support requires an optional activation license. The switcher ships with SRT and RTMP pull-stream built in, plus UVC webcam input over USB, which covers most remote-guest workflows without an extra license.

How is this different from a Blackmagic ATEM Mini?

The N7S adds what the ATEM Mini line leaves off: six SDI inputs, a 15.6" built-in multiview, a physical T-bar, XLR mic inputs, one-tap portrait mode and a built-in AI subtitle engine. It's the console you'd reach for when the show outgrows a four-input desktop switcher.

Can I control PTZ cameras from the N7S itself?

Yes. Up to six LAN PTZ cameras can be discovered, controlled and saved to ten presets directly from the N7S surface — pan, tilt, zoom, focus, exposure and white balance. You don't need a separate PTZ controller on the desk.

What kind of warranty and support come with it?

Every NeoLIVE N7S ships with a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase, plus the English user manual and firmware updates. Hardware defects are repaired or replaced by SPROLINK's authorized service network.
